The Inspiration Studios events take place in both Berlin and Munich, depending on the main topic such as health or industry. The Ideation and Innovation Day are planned in Bonn

How are the challenges for X-Creation selected?

Challenges are selected based on global trends, current topics and the interests of the X-Creation community, with a focus on practical, solution-oriented topics.

Are there specific requirements for working on a challenge?

The decision lies with the X-Creation and Challenge leads. Interdisciplinary teams with good collaboration are sought, and people from different backgrounds and disciplines are welcome.

How do I register for an Inspiration Studio?

You can register on the website and sign up for your desired subject area.

Can I participate as a member of an organization, or is participation only possible individually?

Participants can contribute both individually and as an organization.

Do I have to attend all events or can I only participate in specific sessions?

You can attend individual events, but it is recommended that you work on challenges as a collaborator and attend relevant Inspiration Studios and follow-up events.

What is a "Collaborator"?

As a collaborator, you work virtually on a solution for 2-4 hours a week and are part of events such as the Collaborators' Dinner, Ideation Day and Innovation Day.

How do I become a "collaborator"?

X-Creation continues to promote solutions, looks for funding opportunities and implementation partners.

Yes, every Inspiration Studio offers networking opportunities. Virtual platforms and channels are also provided to stay connected after the events.

Publicity and innovation approaches

Within what legal framework are the solutions developed?

The solutions are developed within the framework of the applicable laws, in particular for the protection of intellectual property and data protection. As a rule, participants only share publicly accessible information. Contractual agreements on the protection of information and copyrights are usually only concluded after the Innovation Day, in the phase of scaling the solution approaches.

However, participants can make specific agreements on the protection of information or copyrights in advance. In this case, the X-Creation team must be informed. How is it decided whether a solution will be implemented as open innovation or public innovation? The decision is made jointly between the participants, based on the type of solution, the interests of the participants and the potential social benefit.

Can participants decide for themselves whether their solution is made publicly accessible?

Yes, participants can decide for themselves whether their solution is published, shared or protected for commercial implementation. The X-Creation team will assist with the documentation of the solutions. Participants are responsible for ensuring that only public information is used.

Rights and ownership of solutions

Who owns the rights to the solutions developed - participants, organizations or X-Creation?

The rights to the solutions belong to the participants who have developed them. X-Creation provides support as a platform, but does not claim any intellectual property rights.

Is there a regulation on the joint use of patents or intellectual property arising from the collaboration?

Intellectual property resulting from teamwork belongs jointly to the team members involved, unless other agreements have been made.

How is it ensured that all parties involved can participate fairly in the results?

It is recommended that clear agreements are made between the parties involved prior to development in order to ensure fair shares and rights.

Can organizations or individuals develop the solutions independently?

Yes, as long as this has been agreed with the original developers.

Who decides whether to pursue or implement a developed solution?

The decision lies with the participants.
